A replacement school for the existing Gadsden Elementary School, the new facility is 90,000 square feet with the capacity to serve over 500 students. The school was built on the existing Gadsden Elementary School campus immediately after the demolition of the school building. The tilt-wall school was based on a prototype design identical to the recently completed Pulaski Elementary School in the Savannah-Chatham County School District. The new facility contains Grades Pre-K through 5th Grade spaces, a Media Center, a Cafeteria, Computer Labs, a Gymnasium, and other support spaces. The project also included associated site work, utility connections, landscaping, and irrigation. Careful coordination was incorporated into the project to avoid disruptions in the adjacent community.
